Hi, I'm kris, the creator behind Mymentalpalette. I'm passionate about blending creativity with mental health, offering unique tools, and providing resources that may be helpful to others who are struggling. My work is rooted in the belief that creativity can be a powerful part of healing, and I'm here to share that journey with you.

Here, you can explore the many tools and resources I've created and put together, to help you navigate emotions, express yourself, and find balance in the art of mental health. â€‹â€‹

Mental health can be very challenging, especially when you feel like you are figuring everything out on your own. You are not alone, I see you. I'm not a mental health professional, I do not have a degree, but I have had to learn this process on my own, and I hope that some of the tools I offer, can help you, too.

I have been in therapy for most of my life, and though I was a young aspiring artist, I didn't like the idea of art therapy. I thought "How could painting a picture or coloring in a coloring book fix my mental health?" Creativity is not a fix-all, it is just another tool in your tool belt for navigating life's complexities and stressors. Art and creativity has become my voice, allowing me to express my emotions and thoughts in ways that words cannot describe. It doesn't require perfection, a degree, or high quality tools -- just willingness to explore and express.

Art has always been a passion of mine. My grandma was and still is a big motivator when it comes to my creativity, and I am very grateful for her encouragement to keep pushing even when I felt like my art wasn't good enough. My partner has also been a motivator and supporter through both my art and my mental health journey and I can't thank him enough for how much he has helped me. I am forever grateful for his support!

"When I am struggling and unable to connect with people, I can connect with art."
